We've got back-to-back Neil Gaiman this week! I just finished this book and it's the first time I read something this dark but sweet. I'm trying to think of some movie or show to sort of compare it to but nothing comes to mind. But let me tell you, this book took me on a surprising journey. It feels dark and heavy when you start, but without even noticing you end up getting sucked into the story, just like that ocean.
It's a fantasy novel, which Gaiman is an expert at writing, in which even a simple pond can be an ocean. But that pomd holds huge secrets. Honestly, dark and sweet is my new favorite combo!
Tenemos dÃas consecutivos de Neil Gaiman esta semana! Recién terminé este libro y es la primera vez que leo algo asà de oscuro pero dulce a la vez. Estoy tratando de pensar en alguna peli o serie que llame la atención para compararlos pero es imposible...esta historia tiene un no-se-que especial. Me llevó en un viaje que me tomó de sorpresa. Cuando comienza, todo se siente pesado y oscuro, pero te termina absorviendo como ese océano.
Esta es una novela fantástica y Gaiman es un experto en escribirlas. En esta historia, hasta una laguna puede ser un océano. Pero esa laguna guarda grandes secretos. Honestamente, oscuro y dulce es mi nueva combinación favorita!
